Music Ministry
Sis. Wynona Hilton-Stanley
The music ministry provides appropriate music to enhance the worship experience during services. Any church member in good standing may join one or more of the church’s choirs.

If you desire to join any of these choirs, please be present on the night of their respective rehearsals.
Choirs
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir sings anthems, hymns and spirituals on the 1st Sunday of every month.

St. James Male Choir
The St. James Male Choir is an all-male choir that sings hymns, spirituals and gospel music on the 3rd Sunday of every month.

St. James Choir
The St. James Choir sings a mix of traditional and gospel songs on the 4th Sunday of every month.

St. James Youth Choir
The St. James Youth Choir is open to children of the church between the ages of 5 and 12 and sings on each 5th Sunday.

The Vernon Sewell Ensemble
The Vernon Sewell Ensemble provides gospel and contemporary music. In addition to the 10am rehearsal, this choir also rehearses every first Thursday at 7pm and sings on the 2nd Sunday of every month.

Liturgical Dance & Mime Ministry

Sis. Earline Mittons
This ministry expresses the word of God through dance and mime as part of the Service liturgy to enhance the worship experience. All dance ministries rehearse as needed.

Shekinah Glory
This group ministers every Sunday at the morning worship service, for the Praise Introit. The ministry is comprised of young adults.
Eternal Praise
This group ministers on the 2nd Sunday of each month and is comprised of adult dancers.

Divine Mime
This group ministers on the 3rd Sunday of each month and is comprised of male dancers.
​
Praize-N-Motion
This group ministers on the 4th Sunday of each month and is comprised of pre-teen and teen dancers.

Stewardess Board
Sis. Connie Williams
Members of the Stewardess Board are nominated by the Pastor, and confirmed or rejected by the Steward Board. Stewardesses who are confirmed are held responsible by the Stewards for their duties.
The Stewardess Board is responsible for assisting the stewards in the discharge of their duties, as they relate to Baptism and Holy Communion, by keeping the linen clean, dressing the altar, keeping the serving utensils polished and clean and preparing for Baptism.
Stewardess Board meetings are held on the Saturday before the 1st Sunday of each month.
Usher Boards

The Ushers are the doorkeepers in the House of the Lord. They warmly welcome visitors and congregants, appropriately responding to the physical needs of both to prevent undue disruption of service and assist in the smooth flow of the worship service.
The Usher Board is comprised of both Junior and Senior Ushers.
Junior Ushers meet before or after Sunday morning church services, as needed.
