1st Lady Lisa N. Wilson-Young
First Lady Lisa is a native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. There First Lady accepted the Lord at the age of nine and every since that day, she has enjoyed serving God’s people as a Sunbeam / Youth / Young Adult /and Senior Choir member; on the Young Adult / Senior Usher Board; Church School Teacher, Church School Superintendent, Steward, Baltimore District Church School Historiographer-Statistician, Area Missionary Society Director of Promotion and Education, Local Church Missionary President; Baltimore Conference Clergy Family member, Baltimore Conference Women’s Missionary Society Tanner Turner Chairperson and program Director, and most recently the Baltimore Conference Missionary Treasurer.
First Lady Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work, with a minor in military Science, and a Master of Public Administration.
A 16 -- year military veteran, she served proudly, as a Captain, in the United States Army. The Lord blessed her to separate early from the military to fulfill her spiritual calling as a help meet to her husband & Pastor Rev. Dr. Baron D. Young and a mother and friend to their three sons, Barod, Bryson, & Edward, and two granddaughters: Karen and Victoria.
First Lady Lisa has actively served in the community as a member the Community Advisory Board for Abingdon/ Bel Air South / Emmorton, of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
First Lady Lisa is currently employed with Kaiser Permanente where she works as the Inventory Operations Manager for the DCSM, District of Columbia-Southern Maryland Operational Region.
Her most challenging, but beloved experience has been as First Lady, where she looks forward to advancing her ministry alongside her husband the illustrious, Rev. Dr. Baron D. Young.
First Lady Lisa attests her success to the Almighty GOD, and the continued support and prayers from her husband, Pastor Young and her father and mother; Mr. Ronald E. & Nancy M. Wilson, Hopkinsville, KY.
Her passion and interest are to provide a spark that will empower more adult Christians to stand up for righteousness and serve Christ.
Her prayer is that each of us will allow God to give us a vision of our personal call to serve in ministry, and that others will never venture to impede that vision. She truly believes that God loves us so much; He is bound to encourage us to share our gifts with others.
